June 26-July 4, 2004

The Russian Catholic children from the parishes around Vladivostok camp, pray, play, and walk together during their annual summer pilgrimage. They travel from Ussurisk to Arsenyev. Americans are invited to join the children for this arduous experience—walking about 15 miles a day and camping out under the stars. Former Boy Scouts are especially welcome. Russian language skills would be helpful but are not necessary.

To learn more about the walking pilgrimage, see the September 2003 issue of Vladivostok Sunrise.

Below are some pictures of the pilgrimage taken by John Sonnen of St. Paul, Minnesota. He can be reached at jpsonnen@stthomas.edu for more information on the event.
