Reviving the Catholic Church in Eastern Russia

 The Mary Mother of God Mission Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization that exists to revive the Roman Catholic Church in Eastern
Russia.  To this end, the Society disseminates information about, and raises
funds for, a variety of Church-sponsored and Church-initiated activities in
the Russian Far East. Activities include evangelization, catechesis,
pro-life and social service programs, and financial support of our American
priest members working there.

Please Help Us Get On the Bus!

We’ve been reporting about the great blessings of 5 seminarians coming to us from the Philippines and 28 from Indonesia! Thanks be to God!

 

But we’re finding there are unexpected challenges that come with so much. One of those challenges is transportation—how our young men in Indonesia will get to and from the seminary. An Indonesian benefactor is donating the use of a monastery building for our seminarians to live in while attending the seminary, saving us over $5,400 per year. The benefactor has renovated the building for us and the seminarians are moving in as we speak. But the building is located a great distance from Divine Providence Seminary in Surabaya, so the seminarians—with bicycles as their only vehicles—have no feasible option for how to get there.
